About us

API Kirk Containers was founded in 1987 by Kirk Marounian. After many years of successfully operating a plastics manufacturing plant in Lebanon, Kirk established a small operation in Commerce, CA. With his expertise in plastics, the business thrived. Soon after his son, Arthur Marounian joined the business, they quickly outgrew the small plant. They then expanded into a 120,000-square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility in the City of Commerce, CA. In 2021, API Kirk Containers further expanded to serve customers throughout the West Coast by starting a greenfield manufacturing plant in Willard, Utah. We look forward to the third generation joining the business and continuing to grow and expand our footprint in the US.

API’s versatility allows us to successfully produce products for customers ranging from the agriculture industry, the food industry, and all the way to the chemical and paint industries. Pails, bottles, lids, and crates, come in different shapes and sizes, depending on the customer’s needs and wants. A customer can choose from a wide variety of pails, in size, color, and some specific pails that are even drop tested to make sure they are successful in heavy-duty activities that our clients use.

We are committed to the sustainability aspect of our business. Our wide variety of pails, bottles, and crates are all made out of polyethylene, a very eco-friendly material as well as easily recyclable. Our tote boxes are made with polypropylene material, also a recyclable & reusable plastic.
